A non-load-bearing aluminum and glass system commonly used on the ground floor of buildings.

What is it?
Storefront is used in many applications and different building types. It is also becoming more common in higher end modern home designs. By definition: Storefront is the part of a store that faces the street, usually larger glass openings.
Quick History
Up until the 1920s-30s store fronts were mainly made of wood or cast iron. Aluminum and steel were introduced in the 1930s and by the 1970s Aluminum had become the primary material for all systems and manufacturers.
Why Aluminum
It's resistant to corrosion and rust, making it suitable for various climates, and its lightweight nature makes it easy to install and handle. Aluminum also offers excellent thermal insulation, contributing to energy savings.
