(FBC) Florida Building Codes

The Florida Building Code is a set of statewide regulations that establish minimum standards for building design, construction, and safety. All construction work in Florida must comply with the FBC to ensure structures meet requirements for structural integrity, wind resistance, accessibility, and occupant safety.

(FPA) Florida Product Approvals

Florida Product Approval is a state-approved certification program that verifies building products meet Florida Building Code requirements for performance, durability, and wind resistance. Products with Florida Product Approval are approved for use in Florida construction and must be installed in accordance with their approved specifications.

(NOA) Notice of Acceptance

A Notice of Acceptance is a local approval, commonly issued by Miami-Dade County, that confirms a specific product or system meets required performance standards, including wind and impact resistance. NOAs are often required in addition to Florida Product Approvals for use in certain Florida jurisdictions.

(RFI) Request for Information

A Request for Information is a formal question submitted during a construction project to clarify drawings, specifications, or scope details. RFIs help resolve uncertainties and ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with the project requirements.
